If you like your romances hot, steamy, and wild, you definitely want to read the books of Moonlight Muse. She’s definitely not one to shy away from breaking stereotypes and has created stories that have been rated a perfect ten on GoodNovel by the readers. Here’s what we learned about one of our favorite authors:

What made you start writing?

I have always liked writing and have a wild imagination. However, after reading a few online novels, I realized I could publish my own work.

What is your writing process?

I first write a rough draft of the storyline; then, I’ll plot my characters. This usually involves free writing a few paragraphs to get the feel of their personality. I will then create visuals for them. I think and plan my novel in depth so there are no plot holes. 

What has influenced you the most as a writer?

The first thing that popped into my mind is my readers’ dedication to me and my characters. Their faith and commitment push me to always be consistent and deliver my best work.

Which of your books is your favorite and why?

I don’t really have a favorite, but I am enjoying the Legacies! I also enjoyed writing My Alpha’s Betrayal and His Caged Princess.

Why did you write two books on Alejandro?

Alejandro Book 2 actually opened the doors for the spin-off. I suddenly had a light bulb moment where I was like there is so much more to this world that I can explore. That book contains a few nuggets of things to come! 

Tell us about Skyla Rossi: A Game of Deception and Lies – Part 2 and the inspiration behind the book.

This book is the fourth in the Rossi Legacies; it’s about the daughter of Alejandro Rossi. Skyla is very complex, and I think she definitely holds elements I can relate to.

When I created Skyla, I wanted someone very real. Someone who has a loving family and amazing friends. Someone who is always surrounded by love and support yet still has her own Demons and falls into dark places in her mind.

I think my inspiration for her love story came from the first book in the series. If you haven’t read this book yet, skip the rest of this answer! But I wanted to do a chosen mate story, just how Elijah was ready to reject his fated mate for Scarlett.

What part of the book was the most fun to write?

I liked her dynamics with the male lead Royce and the way she came out with her wild comebacks. Skyla is wild in a good way!

What were the challenges in bringing this book to life?

I think the balance between being too dark that it becomes too much and not stressing enough about the severity of the situation. Finding that perfect middle ground I wanted to portray and looking back I definitely managed it, and I’m super proud of how this book has turned out.

This is the fourth book of the Legacies series. Can you tease a bit about the upcoming books?

Oh, the Legacies have so much left to come! I love this series, and honestly, there is A LOT to come. The next book in the series is called The Pure-Hearted Princess and the Kiss of Darkness, and it will take us on the journey of Skyla’s twin sister Kataleya. 

Do you have any other projects in the works at this time?

I do! I’m currently working on I Am The Luna, which takes on a different approach to the werewolf genre where people are beginning to become distant from their wolves, and even shifting is looked down upon. I am enjoying writing it!

The other book that will be coming up is the sequel to The Alpha King’s Possession, and it’s going to have dragon shifters! This book will be darker, but I am super excited to be able to dive into dragon shifter!

What does literary success look like to you?

For me, it is having readers love your work. Seeing their passion and excitement towards the characters and the storyline. Honestly, my greatest achievement isn’t the awards I’ve won or having my name out there but those readers who tune in every day to read the next chapter.

Those who discuss the story and show their excitement and all the other emotions they are feeling towards the characters and story. That is what success looks like to me, and I’m proud to say I have achieved it, and I promise to always keep doing my best for my readers because they are the ones who took a chance on me and my work. 🥹

What advice would you give to aspiring authors?

Always stay consistent, work hard on improving, and always remember you are your only competition! Set yourself mini goals and aim for them.
